TravelNurseSource is working with ICONMA, L.L.C. to find a qualified Oncology RN in Rapid City, South Dakota, 57701!About The Position Registered Nurse - Oncology Location: Rapid City, SD Duration: 13 weeks Description: General Information: Beds: 16 inpatient beds Minimum experience: 1 year of general nursing experience Patient Types: PCU/IMC RN needed - this is a mixed acuity unit meaning there will be Intermediate Care acuity as well as Tele and MedSurg Oncology patients: surgical, new diagnosis, Oncology complications Medical overflow Intermediate level of care with telemetry monitoring Patients receiving prolonged chemotherapy infusions (multiple days) TPE patients (based on staffing availability) Patient Ratios: RN - 1:4, Days & Nights Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS ONS Chemotherapy Cert - preferred travelers are allowed to hang chemo if they have chemotherapy certification through the Oncology Nursing Society Required Education: Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing; Registered Nurse (RN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing Skills required: Comfortability to work with MedSurg assignments - decline if not agreeable IMC/PCU level experience, cardiac rhythm interpretation, titratable vasoactive drips, proficient in chest ports Support on the Unit: CNA (Ratio: 1:8) Charge nurse: Yes, 24/7 - rarely has patient assignment Phlebotomy: yes, peripheral blood draws only; RN will pull from Central lines Resource Nurse: Clinical Resource Nurse RT: Yes, 24/7 Hospitalist: Yes Charting System/Equipment: Epic - please let CRT know if traveler does not have EPIC experience so they can ask approval Alaris Omnicell Floating: If yes, where Any Adult Inpatient Unit - Med Surg, Ortho/Neuro/Surgical, Heart and Vascular Unit, Oncology, Observation Could be floated within scope of practice and below As an equal opportunity employer, ICONMA provides an employment environment that supports and encourages the abilities of all persons without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or express, ethnicity, national origin, age, disability status, political affiliation, genetics, marital status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.25496831EXPPLATAbout ICONMA, L.L.C.
