Online Adjunct Faculty-Sport Management
Spartanburg Methodist College invites applications for part-time adjunct online faculty positions in Sport Management. The successful candidate will design and teach online courses, which may include Sport Marketing, Sport Communications, Sport Finance & Economics, Sport Liability & Risk Management, or Sport Facility Management. Many of the courses will require a course designer, as they will be offered for the first time during the 2025-2026 academic year. Teaching contracts may be renewed on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold a Ph.D. in Sport Management or a related Ph.D. with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
* Possess strong communication skills.
* Have significant experience designing online sport management courses.
* Have significant experience teaching online sport management courses.
* Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L.
* Be firmly committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and be familiar with best practices in active learning pedagogies.
* Have demonstrable, successful experience as an online teacher (college level preferred).
