Job Description:
The Online Product Merchandiser is responsible for understanding and executing the entire process of product enabling including the importing, management, and prioritization of SKUs created by the buyers and fixing any content issues reported through the content alert form, and modifying and finishing product listings on our FBM Amazon feed. This position will work within the Marketing team to determine the best practices for writing original content, what products will benefit most from original content, and how content enablers can be more mindful of SEO during the overall enabling process.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Enabling:Quickly and effectively enable all product types to standard as described by the style guide. Import workbooks created by the buying team which requires the use of various tech tools. Manage SKU syncs between different databases. Prioritize and manage SKU enabling according to Prioritization guidelines.Gearx product data management:Ensure all product groupings and configurations align with current data protocols, establish and maintain all base level & additional product attributes based on specific product categories, coordinate regularly with the database position to remain up-to-date on evolving workflows, and fix bad Magento data and incorrect product listings reported through the content alert forms immediately. Audit for irregularities and bad data on Gearx.com (including specs, pricing, size charts, in/out of stock discrepancies, etc)Amazon product data management:Audit and maintain Amazon Seller Central product listings. This includes:Editing product drafts and suppressed products for saleManaging (editing/removing) incorrect and misrepresented product informationProviding Amazon with information necessary for listing restricted products as they are determined by AmazonCreating and uploading product missing from Amazon's catalog that is approved for sale by brands and distributorsProduct Listing Best Practices:Stay up to date with e-commerce product listing best practices. Craft compelling and informative product descriptions for key perennial and high performing products. Investigate and implement product merchandising features to drive online sales. Optimize PDP layout for legibility, improved product comparability, and overall UX.Photograph and edit OGE-branded products for publication on Gearx.com:Utilize Marketing team tools (photo studio & equipment) to produce high quality photographs for all products without vendor digital assets. This will involve editing the photographs as well. (This is dependent on applicant interest/ability)These responsibilities serve as a guideline and should not be seen as absolute and additional duties or tasks may be added on an ad hoc basis.RequirementsSkills and QualificationsWorking knowledge of our Point of Sale, Magento, Excel, and the Google suite of office toolsAn understanding or first-hand experience, to some degree, of all areas of OGE product offeringsAn understanding of eCommerce, SEO, and PPC principles and how they apply to our website and Amazon channelOrganization, attention to detail, and self motivationStrong communication skills and a professional demeanorA minimum of 1 year experience at OGE (or comparable prior outside experience)A willingness and ability to learn new skills, work within OGE's computing and programming architecture and a desire to be a lifelong learner and stay current with trendsAbility to work self directed on projects, meet deadlines and also be a good team member when working on group initiatives.Salary Description38,000 - 42,000
