You may be interested in the Onsite Service Engineer position that we have available! It's an opportunity to manage the hardware maintenance needs of one of our Service Express customers in the Orangeburg, NY area with a focus on delivering exceptional service with each interaction. This position will require driving to the customer site each workday (Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm ET) as well as participating in a scheduled, weekend on-call rotation that is servicing equipment throughout the New York and New Jersey area. You will use your own vehicle and be reimbursed for travel expenses. Here's what this position is all about:
- Maintain and repair data center hardware equipment (primarily mid to high-end servers and other storage devices) at assigned accounts
- Understand and deliver on response time, follow up, and resolution commitments to customers and teammates in order to build trust and ensure loyalty
- Engage Purchasing department for parts inventory, Technical Support partners for escalation process, and local Sales team to help exceed customer expectations
- Complete ongoing training in order to develop and/or maintain technical acumen
What will help you be successful in this position:
- Experience servicing the following equipment preferred: Dell PowerEdge, HP Proliant, SuperMicro, and IBM servers to name a few
- On-call availability for 24x7 customer needs as part of a scheduled rotation throughout the service team
- General field service experience preferred but not required
