Master's Level ClinicianDuties: Position is required to provide assessment and intake for clients with recent onset of psychosis, work within a multidisciplinary team of clinicians providing services for clients enrolled in the program, provide therapy to clients, perform outreach in the community, and lead groups of clients and families quarterly.JOB PURPOSE/SUMMARYSummary of role of team: It is the mission of our Assessment and Counseling Service to provide a broad range of treatment and assessment services for those with psychiatric disorders. The OnTrack Masters Level Clinician serves as the part-time primary clinician that provides individual, group, and family counseling as a part of the First Episode Psychosis / OnTrack TN Model. Clinician provides services to adolescents and young adults with a mental health diagnosis that involves symptoms evident of psychosis. The primary clinician will rotate in a 24 hour / 7 day a week on-call schedule. Treatment modalities used by Master's level clinicians providing therapy services include Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), CBT for psychosis (CBTp), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Attachment, Self-Regulation and Competency (ARC), and/or Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), and Play Therapy. Completes training, consultation calls, and ongoing reporting for the state of Tennessee (TDMHSA), as well as outreach and promotion of the program with outside agencies.Summary of position: Clinician is a split position providing therapy and related services for the OnTrack TN - First Episode Psychosis (FEP) program serving Blount, Loudon and Monroe County, as well as the outpatient clinic located in Anderson County. Holder of this position will spend 20 hours a week in each position to complete the full 40-hour work week. Clinician provides weekly individual and family psycho-therapy to children, youth, and young adults with a mental health diagnosis. Clinician will ensure compliance with productivity standards set by the Coordinator/Director by scheduling determined number of clients for weekly sessions, providing follow up phone calls when clients cancel or miss scheduled appointments, and provide support staff with information for appointment reminder calls. Clinician is to provide psychosocial assessments for clients entering the McNabb FEP and Anderson County Outpatient Program, provides diagnoses and provide appropriate referrals for clients assessed. Clinician will provide mental status assessments for clients. Clinician will discuss options/goals for clients receiving services. Clinician provides crisis intervention and emergency services as needed. Clinician embraces the key values of clinical services: empowerment, normalization, rehabilitation, and continuity of care. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENTThis position will be housed in the Anderson County Outpatient Clinic and requires both office-based clinical and administrative work. This job description does not constitute a written or implied contract of employment.COMPENSATION: Starting salary for this position is approximately $48,201 /yr based on relevant experience and education.Schedule: This position provides services Monday - Friday during regular business hours and also includes an on-call component during which the clinician would be available to respond to after-hours crises by phone or in person as needed.Travel: This position requires utilizing a personal dependable vehicle to conduct Center business. Maintaining a dependable vehicle and certified driver status is a condition of employment.Equipment/Technical Competency: Ability to use a computer and basic office software is required, including but not limited to Office Word, Excel, Outlook and be able to utilize EMR for clinical documentation.Equipment/Technology: This position requires the use of computer skills with an electronic medical record (EMR), and telehealth/televideo services may be offered as part of the service delivery. Staff will be expected to maintain work with a Center cell phone and computer.QUALIFICATIONS - OnTrack TN / Anderson Co. Master's Level Clinician Experience / Knowledge: Master's degree in Human Services or related field.One year experience in the social work field or a behavioral health setting preferred. Experience working with children, youth, and/or young adults preferred. Excellent verbal, written, and computer skills are necessary in order to work effectively and collaboratively with clients, collaborating agencies, and community professionals, as well as maintaining proper documentation. Clinical staff members must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license with an F endorsement OR the ability to acquire an F endorsement on driver's license in order to transport clients as needed. Transporting clients in a personal or Center vehicle is an essential function of this position.Education / License: Master's degree in human services or related field with course work or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, and suicide.Physical/Emotional/Social - Skills/Abilities:Knowledge of etiology and treatment of mental illness, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, human development, and cultural diversity.Exposure to biological hazards. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Close eye work. Valid driver's license- F endorsement required for the transportation of clients. Lifting up to 50 lbs. Pushing/pulling up to 150 lbs. frequent sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. An essential job function is a reliable, predictable 40 hour per week job, on site and in the community, with regular attendance.Ability to effectively and ethically counsel children and families. Must be capable of assisting in utilizing nonviolent methods of crisis intervention including therapeutic holding. Ability to present professionally and work within a team format to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions. Ability to effectively run and process groups. Ability to work within a team format to meet positive goals for children and adults and interface with other agencies involved in the ecology of the individual. Ability to exercise sound judgment and effective decision-making under pressure, ability to set and demonstrate appropriate boundaries, ability to be an empathic listener, flexibility, willingness, and adaptability to working with diverse populations. Must also have the ability to communicate effectively and possess good time management and organizational skills. This position requires training and certification in and the ability to adequately implement a variety of verbal de-escalation methods and personal/client safety techniques.
