Overview:Under the direct supervision of the licensed nurse performs various duties to assist in care of patients. These duties include, but are not limited to, transcribing physician orders, answering and dispatching patient calls, answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel, maintaining supply inventories, office equipment, and overall order and organization of the nurses stationQualifications: Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Experience RequiredEducation/Licensure: Must have high school diploma or GED. Experience: Previous experience in clerical or receptionist position helpful. Hospital experience and knowledge of medical terminology preferred, but not required. Additional Skills/Abilities: BLS required before the conclusion of the orientation period. Must have excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment, requiring prioritizing and changing tasks frequently and quickly.
