Job Responsibilities:
Analyze business requirements and utilize AWR, ADDM, ASH, and other tools to ensure resource sizing is sufficient
Identify database bottlenecks, provide remediation steps, implement database backup solutions, and perform database restore actions
Design and implement security configuration including grants, roles, and profiles
Perform database security monitoring, auditing, implementing security standards, tuning and design, size, and implement enterprise level database systems
Install and configure database software and Perform database upgrade and patching
Complete database migrations from legacy to new hardware
Design and implement Percona MySQL, Postgres, Mongo, and other database clustering solutions
Perform OS troubleshooting, server capacity planning, and resource analysis
Skills and Experience Required:
Database Management: 5+ years of experience working with various databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL, Cassandra, and Cosmos DB.
Database Architecture & Maintenance: 2+ years architecting and maintaining complex relational databases for web applications, including experience with Open-Source databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL.
NoSQL Automation: 2+ years automating day-to-day NoSQL operations, including security, index maintenance, backups, disaster recovery, and installation.
Scripting & Automation: 2+ years of experience with Python, PowerShell, and system administration across RedHat Linux, Mac OS, IIS, and Active Directory.
Cloud Technologies: 2+ years working with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud and Azure.
Operating Systems: 2+ years' experience with Windows OS, Unix, and Linux operating systems.
Desired: Experience in the financial services or credit processing domains
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education, military, and work experience
