POSITION SUMMARY: ROV Support Technician will be a critical technical liaison between IT, Maintenance, and Operations. This will include planning proactive maintenance and troubleshooting all infrastructure related to remote mobile equipment operations in primarily marine environments. The Technician will interface with operator consoles, crane radio infrastructure, land based backhaul infrastructure, and communication equipment. Duties will also include all maintenance items related to remote lifting devices and accompanying pneumatic control components.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Receive instructions, prints or work orders for various technical or mechanical related assignments and carry out as assigned.
- Maintain, repair, or assemble/ fabricate equipment and infrastructure components to support radio communications and remote-controlled equipment operations.
- Develop, analyze, and review a variety of operational reports to examine equipment usage, preventative maintenance, efficiency, quality, and other areas and implement operational changes as required.
- Observe and process network analytics to configure communications equipment for operational use in a timely manner.
- Assist in developing operating policies and procedures to ensure the efficient use of resources and to maintain a safe work environment.
- Ensure schedules, quality initiatives, safety targets, efficiency metrics, and other operational measurements are met for the maintenance functions.
- Ensure compliance with department policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations.
- Assist with reviewing and coordinating general operations with all other functional areas.
- May perform various corrective and preventive maintenance and repair work that will involve skills within several of the following areas: mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, welding, and other skilled trades depending on operational needs.
- Report ALL incidents through the company's reporting protocol.
- Support company safety initiatives.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year in a similar industrial environment
- Experience working with industrial communications equipment, heavy equipment, and control systems.
- Prior experience working with remotely operated machinery preferred.
- Prior experience working in a marine environment preferred.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- High school or equivalent
- Vocational/Technical education with PLC's and Industrial Controls preferred.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings as well as general technical documentation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:Incumbents will work in all weather conditions ranging from warm/hot-cool/cold as well as occasional rain. Will work at different elevations. Noise levels may require hearing protection. May be subjected to conditions which require the use of dusts mask or respirators. The job site will contain light to heavy equipment vehicles, small to large equipment, materials, communication equipment, and tools. Rotational shift work may be required. Twelve or more hours per day may be spent in the work environment as work dictates.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:The physical nature of the work will vary from day to day based on operational needs; however, the job will require the incumbent to be able to perform climbing, balancing, working from heights, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, typing, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion. Incumbents will also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to: Hard Hat, eyewear, safety vests, gloves, masks/ respirators (when necessary) and steel-toe boots. The incumbent is required to utilize fall arrest systems and harnesses.
