Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse Duration: 3+ Months(Extendable) Work Location: Neptune, NJ Shift Timings: (Morning) & (Overnight) shifts available Requirements: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, NIHSS, Active RN license. Weekly Pay Range: $2000 - $2200 (Depends on Experience) Job Description:
  • Perform comprehensive assessments of patients scheduled for surgery, reviewing medical history, allergies, and any other relevant information. Prepare patients for surgery, including starting IV lines, administering medications as directed, and ensuring patients understand the surgical process.
  • Assist the surgical team during procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and passing surgical instruments to the surgeon as needed. Monitor patients' vital signs and responses to anesthesia throughout the surgery.
  • Provide specialized nursing care to patients recovering from surgery in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). Monitor patients closely for any signs of complications and manage postoperative pain and discomfort.
  • Work closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technologists to ensure effective communication and coordination during surgical procedures. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and provide prompt assistance.
  • Strictly adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards to prevent surgical site infections and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment, ensuring they are properly sterilized and functioning correctly for each procedure.
  • Stay informed about the latest advancements in surgical techniques, equipment, and nursing practices. Participate in continuing education opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care, surgical procedures, and any incidents or deviations from the standard protocols.
Requirements: 2 years of recent experience.
