This role will work closely with Operational Excellence Director and Operational Excellence Site Teams to execute improvement activities and projects, coordinate strategic initiatives and operational savings to positively impact business metrics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Executes and supports time study evaluations through Standardized Work, to identify labor and equipment productivity improvements.
* Supports with 6S, Daily Group Accountability and Gemba Walks action plans for sites.
* Helps with coordination and execution of Kaizen workshops for rapid improvements in Operations and Transactional processes to support business savings.
* Assist Operational Excellence site teams in creating, reviewing, and updating standard operating procedures, formats, templates related to the Aspen Business System.
* Supports with LeanDNA required activities.
* Supports with on-going trainings and events to promote a Lean culture and Lean capabilities in the organization.
* Supports with analyses and reports related to Operational Excellence activities.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
* 2+ years into a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related degree.
* Strong Proficiency in Microsoft Office (mandatory: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Power BI).
* Previous work experience as a Co-op.
* Desirable course work in Manufacturing, Quality, and Process Improvement (Lean Manufacturing, Problem Solving, Process Mapping, etc.).
* Strong statistical, analytical, decision making & sense of urgency skills.
* Academic project management experience.
* Ability to work effectively in a variety of environments and assignments.
* Ability to influence and work well with different functions of an organization.
* Self-driven and motivated.
* Team player and customer oriented.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
