  • Lead all aspects of the Operational Excellence program.
  • Provide leadership and foster cross-functional teamwork to exceed Operational Excellence targets.
  • Lead annual cost reduction project efforts for process improvement and savings
  • Identifying process flows and the value stream, and guiding activities to improve both.
  • Lead Kaizens for process improvement efforts and to implement lean principles of 5S, visual management, SMED and Poka Yoke.
  • Continuously improve the skills and behaviors of everyone in the company through training, coaching and mentoring in Lean Operations.
  • Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere
  • Create a culture of improvement that utilizes root cause and data analysis.
  • Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the EHS and Energy Management systems.
  • Ensure compliance will all Quality Management System requirements.
  • Remain up to date with the latest trends in Lean and data driven manufacturing methods through internal and external training opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering or related field.
  • Qualification in Lean Operations (Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent, Six Sigma Black Belt a plus).
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Two or more years as a leader of Lean or Operations Excellence efforts and teams.
  • Successful experience leading and developing cross-functional teams and organizational talent.
  • Experience in a metric driven culture.
  • Knowledgeable on IATF and ISO standards including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
  • Ability to work across disciplines including operations, quality, engineering, and product development.
Miscellaneous Details:
  • Position is located in Durham, NC
  • Travel will be required and normally 15%
  • Relocation is provided
