Responsibilitiesarrow_right

* Lead all aspects of the Operational Excellence program.

* Provide leadership and foster cross-functional teamwork to exceed Operational Excellence targets.

* Lead annual cost reduction project efforts for process improvement and savings

* Identifying process flows and the value stream, and guiding activities to improve both.

* Lead Kaizens for process improvement efforts and to implement lean principles of 5S, visual management, SMED and Poka Yoke.

* Continuously improve the skills and behaviors of everyone in the company through training, coaching and mentoring in Lean Operations.

* Instill and maintain a positive team atmosphere

* Create a culture of improvement that utilizes root cause and data analysis.

* Contribute to the continual improvement activities of the EHS and Energy Management systems.

* Ensure compliance will all Quality Management System requirements.

* Remain up to date with the latest trends in Lean and data driven manufacturing methods through internal and external training opportunities.

Qualificationsarrow_right

* Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering or related field.

* Qualification in Lean Operations (Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent, Six Sigma Black Belt a plus).

* A minimum of five years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

* Two or more years as a leader of Lean or Operations Excellence efforts and teams.

* Successful experience leading and developing cross-functional teams and organizational talent.

* Experience in a metric driven culture.

* Knowledgeable on IATF and ISO standards including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

* Ability to work across disciplines including operations, quality, engineering, and product development.

* Miscellaneous Details:

* Position is located in Durham, NC

* Travel will be required and normally 15%

* Relocation is provided
