Job Description:
Operational Flow Manager J.Crew Lynchburg, Virginia, (On-site)The Global Supply Chain Team is responsible for the operations and strategic direction of transportation and distribution of merchandise through J.Crew's multi-channel supply chain.This role will be responsible for understanding the operational impacts of staffing, planning, and forecasting between inbound and outbound volume flow with the goal of improving the organization's supply chain operations as well as supporting various initiatives.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Develop successful labor planning tools and throughput strategy with internal and external partners to meet and exceed True North Metrics.
  • Manage Wave team for optimal order flow through the Facility
  • Collect, organize and analyze Supply Chain data to build and manage the Supply Chain database
  • Analyze data to identify problematic areas and suggest improvements
  • Support analysis through data mining and quantitative analysis
  • Develop and enhance service levels through collaboration with Operations Partners
  • Communicate issues effectively and ensure that issues are resolved in a timely manner
  • Prepare and update business reporting as requested by the DC Operations Team
  • Evolve existing tools for supply chain visibility based on experience and learning's from role

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required (or equivalent work experience)
  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience with focus on logistics or distribution
  • Supply chain and retail, especially fashion/soft lines, experience a plus
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills required (Excel and Access mandatory)
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Self-starter with good judgment and can proactively manage up where appropriate
