SUMMARY
To perform technical or professional tasks to support and improve the overall goals of the department through experience and skill
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Establish and maintain Corporate Accounting policies and procedures
* Ensure accurate financial reporting by the company in compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
* Monthly close
* Maintain effective internal controls
* Support annual external financial statement audit and quarterly reviews
* Provide technical accounting expertise and research complex accounting issues
* Monthly financial review and fluctuation analysis, obtain explanations and report to management
* Monthly corporate balance sheet reconciliation
* Performs work that is varied and may be somewhat technical in nature.
* Uses established procedures.
* May check work of support or earlier levels of technical or staff workers.
* Other duties.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Minimum of bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent and at least 3 - 6 years of experience in related field. Public accounting and monthly closing experience preferred, but not required. CPA preferred.
