We pride ourselves in being customer service oriented and expect that all of our team members' actions and attitudes support the value of the company through all that they do!Fence Outlet is in need of an Operations Assistant for our teams location!Major Responsibilities:The Operations Assistant/Permit Tech will assist the General Manager in the development and execution of Fence Outlet's sales strategies to support business goals and objectives while supporting the company's mission, vision and values.
- Answer phones and transfer to appropriate staff member
- Enter new customer information into system
- Update and maintain databases such as mailing lists, contact lists & client information
- Scan, sort & distribute incoming/outgoing permits
- Apply for permits online and by dropping off at respective municipality
- Receive permits online and by picking up at respective municipality
- Assist with making appointments and confirming customer installations
- Assist with creating packing lists for installers
- Assist with conducting call backs to customers to confirm needs as install questions arise and assist customers with their selection of fence and fence materials
- Schedule final inspections on all completed installations
- Responsible for the timely transfer of install paperwork to the office
- Work independently with minimal supervision within a schedule keeping set appointment times with customers
- Support the General Manager as necessary through requested work and delegated tasks
- Effectively manage the flow of paperwork throughout the process ensuring the process is completed in a timely manner
- Follow up with customers as needed
- Document all call information according to standard operating procedures
- Use sound professional judgment while representing the company

Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED. Additional education is preferred but not required.
- This position requires a minimum of 1-3 years of like/similar experience preferably supporting a manufacturing or production capacity with hands on knowledge.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be able to continuously see. Must be able to frequently stand, walk, view computer monitors, give & receive oral communication, bend, squat, reach above shoulder level, and discern color. Must be able to occasionally sit, drive, type, and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Must be able to regularly lift/carry up to 20 lbs.; occasionally lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to do repetitive simple grasping, fine manipulation, and pushing & pulling on a frequent basis.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and drive to and from work locations.
- Must be able to travel as required for company business.
- As needed work a varied schedule that could include nights, weekends and holidays.
