Responsibilities for this Position ROLE AND POSITION OBJECTIVES: As a Operations and Maintenance Senior Systems Engineer for the Nuclear Monitoring Program, you ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for the operations, maintenance and sustainment of an international network of radionuclide monitoring stations. The Nuclear Monitoring Program provides remote and on-site troubleshooting support for a network of radionuclide monitoring stations for the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO). • Past experience in managing and executing projects
• Ability to travel to domestic and international locations to maintain/repair fielded systems (Trips are typically 1-4 weeks long)
• Build, test, and evaluate new electrical/mechanical equipment and sensors in an engineering test bed at our Chantilly, VA office

• Knowledge of Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty, nuclear sensor technology, spectroscopy, noble gas science and data acquisition
• Knowledge of basic electrical and mechanical skills is necessary. Actual hands on electrical and/or mechanical experience desired

• Clear understanding of systems engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards
