Ascendo Resources is currently conducting a search for a large commercial bank located in midtown, Manhattan. We are currently seeking an Operations and Settlement Associate for a full-time, contract role. This role is on-site and will be for at least 4 months through January 2025. Opportunities for the contract to be extended or convert are extremely high! What You'll be Doing:
- Process daily loans in the loan management systems.
- Review documentation to ensure accurate servicing of loans and letters of credit.
- Collaborate with colleagues to understand deal structures.
- Adhere to compliance procedures and checklists to optimize control and minimize booking errors.
- Coordinate with the settlements team for fund transfers.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from the lending group and agents.
- Reconcile system discrepancies and investigate issues related to loan processing.
- Assist in the administration of customer data.
- Manage the booking of letters of credit activity and associated fees.
What We're Seeking:
- Bachelors in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word)
- Knowledge of financial systems like Avaloq and Murex a big plus
