WHAT YOU LL DO

We are looking for an emerging operations professional to serve as an Associate on our Harlem Operations team.The Operations Associate will work closely with the rest of Neighborhood School s Harlem Operations Team and will report to our Harlem Director of Operations.

The core responsibilities of the Operations Associate role at Neighborhood Charter Schools include:

Enrollment

  • Owning the enrollment process from beginning to end including launch of Schoolmint application, scheduling and assisting school tours and enrollment events, parent outreach and working closely with our special education team to enroll students into our ASD program
  • Working closely with DOO to update enrollment dashboards and present information to our leadership teams
  • Creating and managing the parent ambassador program and works closely with our parents to promote NCS
  • Planning and executing enrollment events throughout the year, including the summer

School-Wide Events

  • Supporting with school-wide events including field trips, back to school celebration, holiday celebration, picture day, Black History Month celebration, community health and wellness events, field day, and end-of-year ceremonies
  • Supporting with staff events, including summer training, the start of school logistics, monthly staff professional development, and culture events
  • Managing communication with staff, students and families around schoolwide events
  • Supporting instructional teams with state testing logistics

Technology

  • Serving as the first level of support for day-to-day technology support and troubleshooting for students and staff
  • Supporting with contacting families of scholars with broken or missing equipment including during end of year technology collection

Finance Operations

  • Owning the ongoing procurement of school-wide curriculum and supplies as well as playing a key role in summer procurement to prepare for each new school year
  • Managing all vendors to outcomes, including establishing and maintaining positive vendor relationships and engaging in follow-up as needed
  • Establishing and maintaining strong processes for vendor invoice submission and monthly credit card coding, promoting strong financial practices, and helping to inform the school s monthly budget forecast efforts
  • Coordinating all staff and student travel

Facilities

  • Establishing and maintaining strong systems for upkeep of common areas throughout the school building
  • Ensuring instructional supplies and materials are maintained in teacher work spaces
  • Maintaining the operations storage areas clean and organized

General Operations

  • Working with the broader Operations team to provide outstanding operational support to students, families, and staff
  • Supporting daily arrival and dismissal as well as front desk operations
  • Translation support as needed

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint or google suite alternatives
  • Previous experience in school operations (preferred)
  • Bilingual - Spanish speaking (preferred)
  • Bachelor s degree (preferred)

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $58,500-$65,000
