Job Overview - Operations Associate:
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Operations Associate to join their expanding operations team in New York City. In this role, you will be responsible for trade capture, portfolio maintenance, and loan settlements, ensuring the smooth functioning of daily operations. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining accuracy and efficiency across various financial activities.
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000/year + bonus
Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday
Responsibilities as the Operations Associate:
- Trade Capture: Capture trades in the portfolio management systems.
- Portfolio Maintenance: Maintain the daily portfolio of existing loans and process credit activity, including borrowings, paydowns, interest payments, and restructurings.
- Reconciliation: Review and circulate daily cash and position reconciliation breaks.
- Loan Settlements: Coordinate loan settlements as a buyer, seller, and agent, allocating trades, and drafting flow of funds.
- Document Review: Review loan documents for originations, trades, and internal transfers.
- Administrator Relationships: Maintain relationships with administrators, ensuring the accuracy of their work product through daily review.
- Leverage Facility: Daily review of leverage facility cash collections.
Qualifications for the Operations Associate:
- Education: Bachelor s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Experience: 1-4 years of operations experience in an administrative, bank, or direct fund environment.
- Skills: Knowledge of loan operations, proficiency with Excel (VBA/Macro), strong analytical skills, ability to multi-task and work with tight deadlines, and high attention to detail.
