Job Description:
Purpose: Perform daily tasks including, but not limited to selecting, packing, scanning, labeling, loading, value-added services (vas) and/or other functions as assigned to achieve projected volume and quality goals. Accurately process orders in and out of the distribution center. Key Responsibilities:Utilize computerized warehouse management systems (WMS) and radio frequency (RF) scanners to process all barcoded productsIdentify and communicate exceptions to the leadership teamFollow all standard operating procedures (SOPs)Accurately record production by task and complete any necessary paperworkFlexibility to train and work in multiple areasContribute to maintaining a safe and orderly working environment Identify, report, and follow up on any property damage or safety concernsParticipate in Lean Six Sigma activitiesOther duties as assigned Key Relationships:Leadership team Operations shift management Other internal departments Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Basic computer skills such as internet, Windows, ability to use a mouse and/or touchscreenAbility to read, write, count and distinguish colorsAbility to communicate both verbally and written in EnglishAbility to use equipment, including but not limited to: box knife, RF scanner, manual and power pallet jacksBasic math skills Good communication skillsAbility to work overtime as needed Essential Functions:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: work in a warehouse environment with noise, dust and varying temperatures regularly required to talk, hear; sit, stand and/or walk; use fingers, hands, arms and feet to feel, handle, grip, grasp, lift, operate, push, pull, bend, and/or twist for up to twelve (12) hours/day occasionally required to climb, stoop, kneel and/or crouch occasionally lift and carry items such as boxes weighing up to fifty (50) pounds work safely on elevated surfaces (2nd level mezzanine) able to reliably attend work/scheduled hours Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredRequired to speak, read, write and comprehend the English languageAbility to work overtime and weekends as requiredThough our teammates hail from all corners of the world, our working language is English.
