Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Operations Associate to oversee and optimize the operational functions of our firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in asset management operations, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of global equity markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Oversight:
- Manage daily operations related to global publicly traded equity investments, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements and implement best practices to optimize workflows, reduce operational risk, and improve service delivery.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of operations professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. Set clear performance objectives and conduct regular performance evaluations.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with investment, sales and marketing, compliance, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of operational processes and alignment with investment strategies.
Data Management:
- Oversee the management of investment data, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting for performance analysis and decision-making.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with external service providers, including custodians, brokers, and technology vendors, to ensure high-quality service and adherence to contractual obligations.
Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure that all operational processes comply with applicable laws and standards.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and present operational reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics, performance indicators, and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field
- Experience in operations management within asset management companies, with a focus on publicly traded equities.
- Strong knowledge of equity markets, investment processes, and operational workflows.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a team.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools, including portfolio management systems and data analytics platforms.
