Position Summary:Under the guidance of the Director and Senior Manager of Operations Continuous Improvement (OCI), the Operations Continuous Improvement Coordinator, will play an essential role in evaluating, documenting and improving processes within our warehouse and distribution centers. You will work closely with operations managers, warehouse staff, and cross-functional teams to identify inefficiencies, develop solutions, and implement improvements.This position will require strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of business process optimization, and the ability to foster collaboration across teams to ensure smooth implementation of new procedures.Key Responsibilities:* Evaluate Warehouse Processes: Conduct a thorough analysis of current warehouse workflows, focusing on order picking, inventory management, packing, shipping, and material handling. Identify areas for improvement and inefficiencies that impact performance and throughput.* Design and Implement Process Improvements: Collaborate with warehouse leadership and other departments to develop and implement optimized processes that enhance efficiency, accuracy, and resource utilization in the warehouse.* Develop and Maintain Documentation: Create clear, actionable process documentation, including process flowcharts, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for warehouse staff to ensure consistency and adherence to best practices.* Process Analysis and Mapping: Conduct comprehensive assessments of warehouse workflows (including inventory management, order picking, packing, and shipping). Utilize process mapping techniques to document and analyze current operations, identifying areas for improvement.* Training and Support: Facilitate Train the Trainer for warehouse staff on newly implemented processes, procedures, and best practices, ensuring smooth transitions and successful adoption across the team.* Identify Opportunities for Improvement: Identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks that hinder operational performance. Focus on areas like picking accuracy, order fulfillment times, and labor utilization. Propose and, if approved, implement process enhancements that drive tangible improvements.* Implement Best Practices: Redesign workflows and processes based on data-driven insights to improve speed, accuracy, and throughput. Focus on reducing waste & minimizing errors.* Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with warehouse supervisors, to design and implement process improvements that support the broader goals of the business.* Track and Monitor KPIs: Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to warehouse operations. Regularly report on progress and make recommendations for ongoing improvements.* Lead Process Audits: Regularly assess the effectiveness of new processes through audits, data analysis, and feedback from the team. Make adjustments and improvements as necessary to ensure the processes are meeting desired outcomes.* Support Standardization Across Network: Adhere to OCI Change Management frameworks and templates.Work Activities:* Ability to work in climate-controlled Warehouse environment.* Ability to work extended or adjusted hours as needed to support a 24-hour 7 day a week operation.* Willingness to travel up to 50% to support multiple warehouse locations as needed.Desired Experience:* Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering or a related field. Lean Six Sigma certification obtained or in progress.* 3+ years of experience in a Continuous Improvement or Warehouse Operations role, with a focus on improving warehouse workflows, inventory management, and order fulfillment - Food industry preferred.* Strong understanding of warehouse operations, including inventory control, picking and packing processes, material handling, and shipping logistics.* Proven experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio) and methodologies like Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement frameworks.* Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to identify problems and track performance improvements using warehouse management systems (WMS) or similar tools.* Project management skills and experience working cross-functionally to implement process changes.* Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to train, guide, and influence warehouse staff and leadership on process improvements.* Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a strong ability to assess current processes and implement data-backed solutions for optimization.* Willingness to travel up to 50% to support multiple warehouse locations as needed.* Knowledge of the structure and content of the English (required) and Spanish (preferred) languages including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.* Ability to handle proprietary information and manage sensitive information using a high degree of confidentiality.* Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook intermediate-level experience required.
