Office: Gue Pardue Hudson Center for Leadership, Engagement, and ServiceReports to: Assistant Director for Service-Learning & Civic EngagementWork Period: 12-monthHours: Full-timeOvertime: Non-ExemptJob Grade: 6General Summary: Collaborates with the Hudson Center staff to ensure an efficient, compliant, and supportive experience by supporting the daily operations of the office and provides administrative and operational support for the Gue Pardue Hudson Center for Leadership, Engagement, and Service (CLES) and the Alston Campus Center Building (ACC) within the guidelines of federal, state and local laws and office, division and college policies and procedures and works with staff, faculty, vendors, students and families. Reports to the Assistant Director for Service-Learning &Civic Engagement.Essential Job Functions:
Provides administrative support to the Center for Leadership, Engagement, and Service including ordering of office supplies and inventory, handling of incoming and outgoing mail, greeting of visitors, answering telephone calls, scheduling appointments & meetings, submitting room reservations, supervising student employees, helping to prepare the budget, supporting with any events (meeting minutes, agendas, retreats). Supports student educational and professional growth in a diverse and inclusive community. Serves as the primary point of contact for and monitor of financial needs of the office staff including credit card reconciliations, payment requests, and other fiscal needs. Serves as the Alston Campus Center building monitor and submits all work orders and provides an equipment and furniture replacement schedule; assists with the daily operation and needs of the Alston Campus Center in maintaining an effective, efficient, clean and safe building. Remains visible and approachable to all students and guests (students, faculty, staff, and community members) at all times, and acts as a resource by providing answers to questions or assistance as requested. Performs assigned responsibilities, duties, and tasks according to established practices, procedures, techniques, and standards with minimal supervision. Collaborates with CLES staff to plan, organize, coordinate and supervise various educational, social, and cultural events. Represents the department on designated college committees and supports college initiatives as approved by immediate supervisor and/or the Vice President of Student Affairs.REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's Degree required.Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in higher education or related field preferred.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
