Position: Operations Coordinator Location: Mills River, NC Type: Full time Desired start date: August 15, 2024 Below is the pay range for this position that we reasonably expect to pay. Individual compensation is based on various factors including experience, education, skillset, and other relevant qualifications. This range is for the Mills River location and may be adjusted to the labor market in other geographic areas. Anticipated compensation range: $50,000-$65,000 The Opportunity: Ohalo Genetics is seeking a motivated Operations Coordinator. The successful candidate will have a desire to be part of a rapidly evolving organization, which requires real-time communication, flexibility, and a willingness to learn new skills and roll up your sleeves to get the job done with experience working with teams in a range of facilities types including R&D/lab, office, and greenhouse environments. The candidate will spend their time supporting and coordinating facility operations as well as act as a liaison for people operations on site. Responsibilities:
  • Facilities management
  • Company-wide meeting logistics, site visits and general office management
  • Point of contact for HR communications at site
  • Maintain an organized system for all incoming and outgoing mail and packages
  • Ensure facility standards and presentation are maintained via management of third-party vendors, and service providers, and coordinating office repairs and when appropriate draftings SOPs and developing trainings for new equipment and operations
  • Order and replenish snacks and office supplies, and order lunch as needed for regular team-wide meetings
  • Welcoming in guests and interview candidates (offering them a drink, a seat, notifying the person with whom they are meeting that their guest has arrived)
  • Ensure compliance with company site safety requirements - fire/life/safety compliance with regards to drills and evacuations
  • Manage and process expenses, reports and contracts
  • Provide general support and coordination for site visits
Candidate Profile:
  • 2+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Executive Assistant or another operations role for a high-paced company
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
Desired skills/experience:
  • Well-versed in multiple aspects of workplace experience, from office management, to guest experience, to office systems, and budgeting.
  • Experience creating a positive and intentional employee experience in the workplace that aligns with company culture and values. Experience with event management.
  • Comfortable identifying, procuring, and managing vendors as needed to ensure the office runs smoothly at all times
  • Experience managing complex projects from start to finish. Demonstrated accountability and ownership over complete workflows, including the ability to proactively communicate timelines, blockers, and changes when collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Pro if you've managed a facilities build out or office renovation.
  • Ability to understand the terms of a contract for facilities maintenance or repair and ensure that work is performed accordingly to that contract
  • The ability to prioritize and execute multiple projects and tasks with hard deadlines - you are always one step ahead of any roadblock
  • Ability to conduct analysis, plan, organize and manage building operational services; develop, implement and evaluate a variety of building and operation systems and preventative maintenance programs
