This position will be assisting with various office operations within a manufacturing/production site. The coordinator will be receiving and distributing communications; maintaining supplies and equipment, picking-up and delivering items, serving customers, coordinating plant events, and assisting Human Resources.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Ordering and stocking supplies and equipment for the plant
- Process and reconcile work orders, whey orders, milk orders, and cream orders
- Receiving and distribution of packages
- Scheduling deliveries and shipments
- Plan and coordinate plant events
- Issue and control access to security badges for plant access
- Coordinate with staffing company's based on plant and department needs
- Answer phones and direct calls
- Act as front office receptionist and greet persons entering the plant
- Assist Human Resources as needed; lead new hire orientation, safety orientation
- Attend staff and department meetings
- Actively participate on EOE Teams that improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies
Qualifications / Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- HIPAA training within the first 3 months
- Understanding of basic Human Resources principles
- 2+ years receptionist experience
- 1-2+ years production/manufacturing preferred
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers
- Ability to calculate using fractions, decimals, and percentages
- Intermediate computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets
- Experience with JD Edwards software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
