Organization: Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California's mission is to provide comfort, care and support to children and families in Southern California. We do this by providing services through seven Ronald McDonald House Programs, Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times, and three in-hospital family rooms. Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times was founded in 1982 to create a positive, long-lasting impact on children with cancer and their families by providing cost-free, medically supported year-round camp programs.
Summary: The Operations Director is responsible for providing the strategic leadership of the Apple Canyon Center. The Operations Director works with and supports the Executive Director (ED) and Camp Board of Trustees to define the Camp's priorities and evaluate effectiveness based on the organization's vision, mission, goals, and outcomes. Additionally, the Operations Director is responsible for managing all the Camp Ronald McDonald for Good Times property and facilities to ensure all are well maintained and in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and American Camp Association (ACA) Standards. They are responsible for monitoring the Contracted Project Manager, who will lead camp facility development, including capital projects. The position supervises the Site and Facilities Department, consisting of an Operations Manager, an Operations Associate, and a Seasonal Operations Associate, emphasizing and modeling core values of compassion, integrity, respect, innovation, and transparency. The position also supervises the contracted Food Service Manager.

Education and Work Experience: Bachelor's degree with at least 7 to 10 years experience in senior-level management and facilities oversight. Prior Camp facility management and supervision experiences are required and prior work with children with special needs is a plus.
Knowledge and Skills: General knowledge and demonstrated experience with office management; knowledge of the organizations and operations of administrative programs; ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with other management staff, employees, and the general public; ability to present facts and recommendations effectively in oral and written form.
