Job Responsibilities
* Ensure that each EE operated Facility is operated and maintained in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
* Provide supervision and leadership to each Facility Manager. Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities for the Facility Management to ensure appropriate skill sets are maintained. This includes the implementation and scheduling of training programs that cover operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory areas.
* Become familiar with the O&M Agreements for each facility and ensure that the terms of each agreement are followed and satisfied. Ensure all reports and information required under the terms of the O&M contract are prepared and submitted in a timely manner.
* Support EE O&M policy development and ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and commercial commitments. Implement programs and activities that provides for a work environment that promotes effective goal accomplishment, productivity, and morale.
* Establish regular communications with Facility Owners to discuss plant performance and problem resolution. Schedule periodic meeting with Owners as per the O&M Agreements.
* Collect and/or review regional O&M financial and HS&E performance looking for trends that would allow proactive implementation of countermeasures
* Participate in EE O&M business development meetings and activities. Help prepare O&M proposals for new projects and help identify potential business opportunities.
* Implement process improvements within EE O&M and help identify and track key performance indicators at both the plant level and the corporate level.
* Special projects as assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge
* A thorough demonstrated understanding of power plant operations, including a working knowledge of the operations & maintenance functions. Functional knowledge of wind and solar renewables facilities
* A thorough, demonstrated knowledge of energy facility operations, O&M contracts and management methods are necessary to control and improve the business.
* A working knowledge of chemistry as it relates to plant operations as well as environmental and water treatment programs and statutory regulations
* Understand budgets, bid proposals contract evaluation and basic accounting principals, plant economics and power pool operations.
* Analyzes and interprets data to make sound professional judgments and recommendations.
* Ability to manage and motivate subordinates.
* Extensive travel is required to meet with Plant Managers and Owner Representatives
Experience
* A minimum of ten year's of power plant O&M with a minimum of eight years in a plant or corporate management position. a minimum of 2 years of experience in solar and wind facilities will be required.
Education Requirements
* A four-year degree or commensurate experience is required as well as a demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
Physical Requirements
* Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping and lifting (up to 50 pounds). #LI-HB1
