Our client in Essex County, NJ is looking to hire an experienced Operations Director within the aviation/aerospace sector. Ground support equipment experience is REQUIRED.
Key Responsibilities:
Operations Management
- Oversee multi-site operations, ensuring safety and maintenance.
- Align operations with Group strategy, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.
Team Leadership
- Build and lead empowered, agile teams.
- Support Operations Managers and staff
Safety Leadership
- Maintain a zero-harm safety culture.
- Ensure daily safety for all team members and stakeholders.
Customer Relations
- Maintain positive customer relationships and exceed expectations.
- Support new operation start-ups.
Financial Oversight
- Manage P&L for sites and workshops.
- Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
Strategic Implementation
Requirements
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- 10-15 years experience as an Operations leader.
- Experience in aviation and aerospace strongly preferred.
- Ability to travel 50%.
- Hands-on, driven entrepreneur with a strategic vision.
- Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Strong technical background or interest in aviation and GSE industry.
- Skilled in planning and implementing operational projects.
