The Willows (Fletcher, NC) at Red Oak Recovery is located in the beautiful rolling hills of the Blue Ridge Mountains just outside of Asheville N.C. We are a clinically dynamic, trauma intensive substance abuse and mental health treatment program designed specifically for the unique needs of young adult women, ages 18-35. Our focus is on clinical care, and we utilize the latest research-supported clinical modalities to ensure positive outcomes.
The Operations Director is a critical leadership role responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient management of daily operations at our facility. This position oversees facility administration regulatory compliance, and quality assurance to ensure a safe, therapeutic, and client-centered environment. The Operations Director collaborates with clinical, administrative, and support teams to optimize service delivery and advance organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and process improvement.
* Ensure smooth coordination between clinical and non-clinical departments to deliver seamless care.
* Develop and implement operational policies and procedures that align with best practices and organizational goals.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
* Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including HIPAA, OSHA, and licensing requirements.
* Ensure adherence to accreditation standards (e.g., CARF, Joint Commission).
* Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to program efficacy, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
Financial Oversight
* Assist in the development and management of the facility's operational budget.
* Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality of care.
* Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate billing and reimbursement processes.
Team Management
* Lead, mentor, and support administrative and operational staff, fostering a collaborative work environment.
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities.
* Recruit, onboard, and retain high-performing team members.
Facilities and Risk Management
* Oversee facility maintenance, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff.
* Manage vendor contracts and relationships for operational services and supplies.
* Implement risk management protocols and emergency preparedness plans.
Strategic Planning and Collaboration
* Contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives to expand and improve services.
* Collaborate with the leadership team on program planning and organizational growth.
* Represent the facility in community outreach efforts and establish strong relationships with external stakeholders.
Education and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or a related field (master's preferred).
* Minimum of 5 years of management experience, preferably in a healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use disorder treatment setting.
Skills and Competencies
* In-depth knowledge of substance use disorder treatment services, operational best practices, and regulatory requirements.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* Proficient in budget management, financial reporting, and cost containment strategies.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and operational software.
