We are Kronospan.Main duties and responsibilitiesAt our location in Shippenville, PA, we are looking for an individual who has a strong desire to learn all aspects of our business. The candidate will acquire management skills (leadership, teambuilding, interpersonal), technical skills (production management controls, operational processes, and metrics) as well as contribute to the organization through projects to improve production, reduce waste, or process improvement. The Operations Management Trainee participates in an intensive program of approximately 12 months duration and includes rotations through various roles within the assigned facility. The Operations Management Trainee is expected to be prepared for a leadership role upon completion of the program.Acquire knowledge to include administrative functions, staffing, disciplinary procedures, budget, production processes and requirements while making contributions to the overall performance of the site.Rotate through various functions of the site to include Production (all processes in both facilities), Human Resources, Purchasing, Maintenance, Sales, Accounting, Quality, Logistics, and Warehousing.Develop a strong understanding of plant operations through hands-on work with all levels within the organization.Complete projects related to cost-reduction and/or improved performance.RequirementsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's Degree with either of the following preferred majors: Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, Business Administration, Safety Science, or other related fieldExcellent attendance record.Ability to exercise good judgment in setting priorities and follow-through in a fast-paced results-oriented environmentStrong desire to learn the manufacturing process, develop leadership capabilities and possess desire to progress in the Kronospan organizationExcellent verbal and written communication and presentation skillsStrong interpersonal and problem solving skillsCapability to prioritize work activities, assignments, demands and flexibility to adapt to changeStrong analytical skillsDemonstrated excellent work ethic, strong time management and organizational skillsMust be able to work flexible hours and be available upon the needs of the business.
