OPERATIONS & MAINTENANCE (O&M) SUPERVISOR JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY: The O&M Supervisor is responsible for directing all activities as it relates to our Service and O&M business including, but not limited to safety, growth, service and maintenance to customers, account management of ongoing current and future relationships, customer experience, development and continuous improvement of operational systems, leadership, and technical support and training of Service and Maintenance team members. The O&M Supervisor is responsible for the operation and maintenance (O&M) of all PV systems in our portfolio. He/she must ensure the systems under care are performing to a high standard, and all faults are quickly and effectively rectified. The O&M Supervisor contributes to related fields, including customer care, communications, design, and contractual matters. He/she should also actively identify improvements or advances in technology to continuously improve the O&M scope.

CLASSIFICATION: Salaried/Exempt
Pay Range: $80,000-$115,000 (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes an active role in strategic planning for the O&M Department to create a plan for growth and expansion of this department. Creates service and maintenance operational vision and strategic plan and articulates that to the team to rally them behind the vision and plan. Overall management of the solar array properties operation and maintenance.
- Develops and maintains essential knowledge of the operation and performance of solar systems. Provides guidance in troubleshooting and analyzing system failures and performance issues, including interfacing with vendors, outside engineers, and internal technical experts. Guides and trains Department team members by providing technical oversight and guidance, which may include working in the field to provide hands-on training for service and maintenance work. Serves as a resource for the EPC Solar Design team with feedback and intel on system performance and field issues in order to inform improved solar designs for future solar array properties.
- Promotes the highest quality image of NSF with customers, team members, vendors, and the community. Delivers top notch customer service externally and internally to all team members with a calm positive approach.
- Develops metric driven service and maintenance operation by creating, maintaining, and holding the service and maintenance team accountable for key performance indicators. Makes decisions for planning using data analytics. Creates baseline measurements so that trend analysis can be performed, and data driven decisions can be made.
- Grows profitability of service and maintenance operations by successfully improving efficiencies of the department, and by improving the customer experience of all stakeholders.
- Responsible for creating & receiving appropriate repair & maintenance proposals, comparing with budgets, align with the work plan that are needed for said repair & maintenance.
- Provides oversight of record-keeping, scheduling, and billing for department.
- Prepare budgets annually for the department.
- Define pricing for new operation and maintenance contracts by analyzing specifications.
- Prepare the operation and maintenance contracts.
- Warranty claims management.
- Assist in the preparation of P&L quarterly with the accounting department.
- Assist management in administrative matters.
- Track purchase orders and billings of the maintenance department.
- Management of subcontracted companies.
- Monitoring of photovoltaic solar projects (through web platforms & Software).
- Contribute to the definition of solutions to problems identified in preventive maintenance / punch lists / planning of interventions.
- Identify production/data problems through indicator analysis.
- Database Administration, data manipulation and visualization techniques.
- Maintain all PV systems installed by the company or under O&M contract.
- Monitor solar PV systems and respond to faults and breakdowns.
- Develop/improve O&M processes and tools.
- Evaluate and procure remote monitoring and sensing solutions for solar PV systems.
- Process and analyze field data to evaluate performance of solar PV systems.
- Develop or identify predictive monitoring for photovoltaic systems by processing real-time data and identifying patterns that predict an imminent failure.
- Perform PV system commissioning and testing with outside vendors as necessary.
- Collaborates with Safety Team to create, enhance, and implement safety procedures and best practices. Completes safety training and ensures that the service and maintenance team is equipped with necessary training.
- Provides an accurate schedule and capacity forecasting to facilitate financial reporting and forecasting in collaboration with the Leadership Team.
- Responsible for creating, updating, and training on standard service and maintenance operational processes that document the full life cycle of company service and maintenance operations. Processes will be created with a NSF template and published to the team.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EDUCATION:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management preferred.
- Experience in solar, construction, or an engineering-related industry is required.
- Minimum of 5 years of a successful track record of leadership experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD and reading blueprints is preferred.
- Experience using project management software, such as Microsoft Project or any other project management software tool that includes the usage of Gantt charts is preferred.
- Proficient in a range of computer applications and technical systems.
- Experience using DAS and/or SCADA systems.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:
- At least 2 years of practical experience
SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:
- Supervise technical engineer and techs.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Clean, safe office environment.
- Occasionally working in a construction site environment.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
