Job Description:
AUM Logistics seeks highly skilled leaders with good quantitative abilities for the position of Operations Manager. The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall ownership of fleet oversight and maintenance as well as driver management. This role will be responsible for fleet asset tracking,preventative maintenance, compliance, and other duties as assigned by leadership. The Operations Manager will also act as a secondary for dispatchers, leads, floaters, and delivery associates. Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop weekly schedules for routes and DA assignment. Make sure all routes are covered with sufficient DA backup.
  • Tracking, updating, and maintaining all fleet documents and reports.
  • Developing fleet optimization strategies to reduce vehicle down time and repairs.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with fleet planning and scheduling.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance and daily/weekly/up keep cycles.
  • Ensure all vehicles are road worthy and in compliance.
  • Developing strategies for greater fuel efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison with internal and external partners to maintain and increase operational efficiencies.
  • Assist with van assignments and daily load out and dispatch as needed.
  • Source repair and maintenance vendors to ensure all vehicles are active and in cycle.
  • Ensuring strict servicing and maintenance times to minimize downtime and maintain schedules.
  • Review Performance of DAs and provide constructive feedback. All DA must have FICO score above 815. Work with DAs to reduce all violations. Build a strong DA team large enough to support upcoming demand.
  • Ensure Staff is well trained, possibly delegate some responsibilities and monitor their progress by working 1 -1 with each of them. Cleanliness, mask usage, social distance - all must be adhered as per AMXL/MCO request and common sense.
  • Maintain our phones, batteries, charging cables, charging stations, gas cards, maintenance cards, uniform etc.
Day to Day duties Include:
  • Day to day operations, interviewing, hiring, on-boarding, scheduling, rostering in DSP portal, managing DAs, Dispatching work, monitoring clock-in/clock-out times and validating hours for payroll.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities and emphasize collaboration amongst the team members.
  • Communicate effectively and regularly with peers and AUM Leadership as appropriate to maintain consistent messaging and visibility across the team.
  • Establish accountability matrix for compliance with documentation.
  • Drive company policy compliance and adherence.
  • Produce and maintain internal reports related to quality, safety, maintenance and defects.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) who is extremely familiar with the fleet functionality inside and out and can teach others to be the most impactful.
  • Use data to drive decisions for the fleet upkeep and in support of a flawless rider experience.
  • Other task delegated/approved by 7 Degrees leadership team and facilities managers.
Desired Candidate Skills:
  • Amazon DSP operation manager experience highly preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics, fleet management, maintenance or distribution
