My client is seeking an Operations Manager to become a key force behind their operational excellence. In this dynamic role, you'll lead the charge in ensuring our high-performance connectors and cable assemblies are produced with precision, efficiency, and unwavering quality. You'll drive success by optimizing daily operations, achieving critical metrics like on-time delivery and cost efficiency, and propelling our company toward its strategic goals.

Client Details

A leading division of a global interconnect manufacturer that specializes in delivering high-reliability, high-performance connectors and cable assemblies to the Military-Aerospace markets. Their products are designed to serve critical applications, including soldier wearables, military aerospace, ground vehicles, electronics and communications, commercial aerospace, industrial systems, and shipboard technology.

Description

This role will report directly into the Director of Operations and be responsible for

  • Developing and executing purchasing, sourcing, and manufacturing strategies to enhance operational efficiency while reducing costs.
  • Building and leading a high-performing team based in Stamford, CT, while fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Advancing and optimizing the current inventory management system.
  • Establishing world-class manufacturing capabilities with a focus on delivering superior quality and production excellence.
  • Collaborating with global teams and suppliers to streamline the supply chain, ensuring strategic alignment and cultural understanding.
  • Championing continuous improvement initiatives and leveraging lean methodologies to optimize processes and drive innovation.
  • Supporting new product development strategically, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and achieving timely, cost-effective market launches.
  • Promoting sustainability practices and embedding social responsibility throughout operations.
  • Traveling domestically and internationally to strengthen relationships and ensure effective global coordination.

Profile

The successful candidate will have

  • 8+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of management skills
  • Experience working with international partners
  • Strong understanding of Quality Systems and Standards; ISO9000 or AS9100 preferred
  • ERP system knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual English and Spanish a plus
