RMS Energy is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our fast-growing team. This role offers the opportunity to work at diverse locations across the U.S., including power plants, hydroelectric dams, and large industrial facilities, focusing on power systems, electrical equipment, commissioning, maintenance, inspections, testing, diagnostics, and field repairs. The Operations Manager will oversee project execution, ensuring schedules and budgets are met, with responsibilities including site management, project planning, crew assignments, and personnel scheduling.

Responsibilities:
* Responsible for the overall performance of the assigned region, ensuring achievement of company metrics such as utilization, revenue, and profitability.
* Assist and work with sales team for quotation and sales support as required.
* Work with divisional leadership on strategic planning for assigned territory to include personnel, equipment and requirements for growth.
* Maintain high standards for safety within assigned territory, adhering to the industry and company standards.
* Job planning includes labor, material, and subcontractors as required.
* Work effectively alongside assigned teams, other crafts on-site, and other regional team members.
* Excellent written and verbal communication.
* Determine appropriate equipment needed for project execution to include test equipment, consumables or other equipment as required.
* As required, supervise on-site execution of testing, maintenance and repair of:
* Low and medium voltage equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear, motor control, etc.)
* Transmission/distribution power equipment (relaying, pilot channel equipment, controls and communication devices)
* Ensure all equipment utilized on-site is maintained and inspected daily for damage or safety concerns.
* Ensure all required job reports are completed as directed by the company to include JSA, Daily Time Sheets or other requirements as needed.
* Ensure all company vehicles are operated safely and within company policy.
* Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA, and other relevant safety regulations and standards.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* 6+ years of experience in operations management or field service roles in the electrical or power systems industry.
* Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent industry experience.
* Up to 50% of travel is required throughout the assigned region.
* Strong knowledge of low and medium voltage equipment, power systems, and related electrical apparatus (e.g., circuit breakers, transformers, switchgear).
* Experience with transmission/distribution power equipment, relaying, and communication/control systems.
* Understanding of industry standards, including NETA, IEEE, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
* Familiar with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders.

* Up to 50% travel required throughout assigned region.
* Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; community college or technical school a plus.
* Ability to pass company drug and alcohol screening and background check.
* Valid and current driver's license with clean driving record.

Working Conditions:
This job requires the ability to respond to 24/7 call outs and to work extended hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed. Work may be conducted outdoors in all weather conditions, near low-, medium-, and high-voltage equipment and heavy machinery, in areas with elevations in excess of 100 feet, and confined spaces adhering to strict safety protocols. Exposure to loud noises from machinery is common, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This job involves risk of electrical shock. This job requires frequent travel between RMS facilities and customer sites.
Physical Requirements:
The position demands physical mobility to navigate uneven surfaces, the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, fine motor skills for handling small components and tools, and the capability to climb ladders and work at heights. Sustained physical effort, including standing, bending, pushing, digging, pulling, kneeling, crawling and reaching for extended periods, is required. Good vision, including color vision and depth perception, and the ability to hear alarms and communications in noisy environments are essential. Additionally, proficiency in speaking, hearing, reading, and typing in English is required for effective communication and documentation.
