Our GenAI Center of Excellence is dedicated to advancing AI capabilities and ensuring their successful implementation across the organization. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Operations Manager to oversee project management, governance activities, and community of practice initiatives.
Job Summary: As the Operations Manager for the GenAI Center of Excellence, you will be responsible for project managing the development and deployment of our GenAI software platform (A&M Streamline) using a hybrid Agile and Waterfall approach. You will also assist in executing governance activities, including work prioritization, use case reviews, and the creation of policies and standards. Additionally, you will support the creation and maintenance of a GenAI community of practice to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing. As the GenAI CoE grows and matures, you role may continue to evolve to meet changing needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
* Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of GenAI platform development projects using a hybrid Agile and Waterfall methodology.
* Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data scientists, product managers, and QA engineers, to ensure project milestones are met.
* Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and status reports.
* Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, ensuring timely resolution.
Governance Activities:
* Assist in the prioritization of work based on strategic goals, resource availability, and risk assessments.
* Assist in the conduct reviews of proposed use cases, ensuring that potential issues are identified and addressed.
* Develop and implement policies, standards, and best practices for GenAI development and deployment.
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Community of Practice:
* Facilitate the creation and support of a GenAI community of practice to promote knowledge sharing and collaboration.
* Organize and lead community meetings, workshops, and training sessions.
* Develop and maintain a repository of best practices, case studies, and resources for the community.
* Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the GenAI community.
Stakeholder Management:
* Act as a liaison between the GenAI Center of Excellence and other departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
* Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing regular updates and reports.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership.
Process Improvement:
* Continuously evaluate and improve project management and governance processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Implement tools and technologies to streamline operations and improve collaboration.
* Monitor industry trends and best practices, incorporating relevant insights into the GenAI Center of Excellence.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* 5+ years of experience in project management, operations management, or a related role, preferably within the AI or software development industry.
* Strong understanding of both Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies.
* Experience with governance activities, including risk management, policy creation, and compliance.
* Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Trello) and collaboration platforms (e.g., Confluence, Slack).
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile Certified Practitioner).
* Experience with AI/ML technologies and frameworks.
* Knowledge of data governance and regulatory requirements related to AI.
* Experience in building and supporting communities of practice.
The salary range is $125,000 - $190,000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A&M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.

Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
