OPERATIONS MANAGER - INTERACTIVE MEDIA LABThe Cleveland Institute of Art (CIA) invites applications for the full-time experienced and dedicated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day administration, space management, and resource scheduling at our Interactive Media Lab(IML). This role will be based in the Hough area at the MidTown Collaboration Center and will act as the primary liaison between the IML and the Cleveland Institute of Art's (CIA) main campus at University Circle.As the Operations Manager, you will work closely with the Associate Director of Technology to ensure the smooth functioning of all resources within the IML, maximizing utilization and supporting the needs of CIA students, faculty, industry, and community partners. You'll maintain and manage the scheduling of studios and labs, coordinate with CIA departments for cross-functional team support, and oversee the IML's reception desk operations. Additionally, you will handle equipment check-in and check-out, manage billing and invoicing, and develop policies and procedures for space and equipment use.Your role will include managing inventory, staffing, and providing direction to student and part-time employees, as well as offering first-level technical guidance to IML visitors. You'll act as the point of contact for special events held at the IML and work collaboratively with internal and external organizations to ensure that the lab remains an innovative, productive space.Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in operations management, ideally within an educational or creative environment, and a keen interest in emerging XR, AR, VR, 3D, and audio/video production technologies. You should have strong experience managing technology resources, supervising employees, and be comfortable with scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management. Your ability to develop collaborative relationships and maintain a detail-oriented approach to operational management will be key to your success. Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications. CIA offers a benefit package including; paid time off accrual, 13 paid holidays, as well as additional time off while the college is closed during winter break.
