**DESCRIPTION:**

As an Operations Manager reporting to the VP of Job Order Contracting you will have the opportunity to:

+ Oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish.

+ Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to meet deadlines

+ Manage project budgets, including cost estimation and tracking expenses

+ Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success

+ Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction process

+ Provide regular updates and reports to stakeholders

+ Lead and manage a responsible team of construction professionals

+ Develop project specific procedures, documentation, contracts and related systemsCreate and uphold relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers

+ Oversee multiple projects, project managers, deadlines and budgets simultaneously

**REQUIREMENTS:**

+ Bachelor's degree required. Degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or similar from an accredited institution is a plus. Advanced degree desired

+ 10+ years of relevant operations management experience required

+ **Experience with Job Order Contracting is required**

+ Experience working on NYC Metro area construction projects is required

+ Experience working with public NYC agencies is desired

+ Experience working on multiple projects and with various clients at the same time is required

+ Experience working on Unit Price contract or requirements contract projects in NYC public sector

+ Candidates must have worked for small local and regional contractors that focus on smaller projects or renovation and/or tenant improvement work

+ Extensive construction industry experience working in public sector is a plus

+ Excellent written and verbal skills

The salary range for this position is $249,000 to $314,000 depending on experience
