The role:

The Operations Manager is responsible for providing operational oversight and strong leadership to a growing team of associates and supervisors. This individual will have their hands in multiple aspects of the facility, managing the optimization and execution of the Fulfillment and Logistics operations.

This will be an onsite position (Address: MD 20781) with a working schedule that includes weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver strategic operational leadership across all aspects of Fulfillment and Logistics with a hands-on approach
  • Manage, coach, and motivate a team of associates and supervisors, providing them with the necessary equipment, training, and quality direction
  • Lead growth and development of direct team including performance management and professional development
  • Oversee the entire process of sealing, labeling, picking, and packing meals, identifying opportunities and gaps to improve productivity
  • Maintain a work environment that ensures and promotes food & team safety, ensuring compliance with Food Safety and Sustainability policies at all times
  • Ongoing evaluation of logistics operations, streamlining systems/processes to improve efficiency
  • Build and maintain the relationship with local and regional 3PL partners, ensuring our meals are delivered to our customers on time
  • Work in conjunction with Customer Experience to continuously improve the delivery experience, troubleshooting issues and providing innovative solutions

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of leadership experience in order fulfillment, transportation, and/or warehouse management operations
  • Effective project management skills, well-versed in Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement
  • Proficiency with Google apps (Gmail, drive, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Experience using large databases and e-commerce frameworks (we use Magento and OnFleet)
  • Ability to look around corners to anticipate problems before they arise, with a proactive approach to innovation
  • Proven ability to effectively motivate and manage a high-performing team
  • Outstanding organizational and communication skills. Being able to speak conversational Spanish and/or another language is a plus!
  • Excitement for working in a fast-paced environment with a high level of ambiguity and change

Compensation All final pay rates will be determined by candidates experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.

Pay Range for this position

$75,000—$85,000 USD
