We are looking for an Operations Manager for a manufacturing service and warehousing company that has been servicing some impressive industry clients for years. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will be overseeing their service and installation portfolio while managing a team of technicians, installers, and field staff. Ideally, you have strong operations and maintenance management, a sound foundation in mechanical and electrical, a background in overhead doors, and valuable experience managing both staff and technicians alike. You will also manage and work closely with the Operations Department, including the Operations Assistant, Installation Manager, and Training Lead. Responsibilities:
- Lead from the front to build a first-rate Operations Department and Service Department that aims to impress the longstanding clientele
- Ensure the highest levels of customer service and satisfaction by delivering on-time resolution, ongoing communications, integrity of invoicing, and follow-up
- Manage and maintain parts inventory - both on vehicles and in the warehouse
- Coach, train, motivate, and develop the Dayton territory service technicians - set clear goals, define their responsibilities, and drive results with KPIs and scorecards
- Work closely with the Operations Assistant on scheduling, order tracking, and setting daily/weekly responsibilities, as well as coordinate with other DOMs to assess ongoing service project requirements
- Manage the overall P&L for the Operations Department
- Work closely with the Installation Manager to examine the onboarding of new subcontractors and evaluate the current slate of work for existing staff
- Work closely with Project Management and Service staff to make sure customer evaluation forms are returned for finished installations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in maintenance management, operations management, managing techs OR the overhead/dock and door OR material handling industry
- Experience with MS Office, Excel, budgeting, job costing, and performance
- A demonstrable history of strong team management, multitasking, and interfacing with different company departments and colleagues
- Excellent communication, organizational, collaboration, and time management skills
- Proven experience analyzing financial and operational reports
- Excellence in training, coaching, developing talent, setting goals/KPIs, scorecards, and tracking performance indicators on the service team
Compensation:
- Base salary: $100K-110K + $30K Bonus + Car + Fuel Card
