This position is responsible for leading, coordinating and delegating efforts of up to 50 non-exempt watchmakers and/or direct support staff to meet all deadlines and service level agreements (SLAs) for a Watch Repair services production team. This individual needs to be highly organized, detailed oriented and able to handle constant change in a fast-paced high-volume environment.
Major Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
* Production: Achieve applicable department production standards to meet or exceed daily priorities and deadlines and service level agreements (SLA'S). Responsible for team compliance to existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) within their areas of responsibility to ensure appropriate task completion and product security measures as well as review and update SOPs as needed. Maintain, monitor, and control the movement and accuracy of the inventory moving in and out of the department. Conduct and/or support physical inventory of responsible inventory locations when scheduled.
* Team Leadership: Monitor and develop team members to conduct their daily tasks. Ensure productivity and quality standards are maintained or improvement plans are initiated when needed. Conduct interviewing, hiring and termination duties when applicable. Develop team members to promote from within whenever possible. Ensure the equipment is well-maintained and that health and safety guidelines are followed.
* Collaboration: Work collaboratively with SSI leadership as well as all applicable teams across the corporation to accomplish goals including execution of SSI wide projects, flexing staff and providing back up supervision to other SSI teams when needed.
* Continuous Improvement: In partnership with all SSI leadership, identify trends and make suggestions for improving overall process flow to support the highest quality at a best cost initiative. Training and development of team members to increase efficiency and productivity is critical.
Position Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, related field or equivalent experience.
Acceptable Job-Related Experience:
* Experience in repair, quality control or disposition of merchandise in retail, wholesale or production environment preferred.
* 5+ years of experience in a leadership/management level position.
Technical/Other Skills:
* Merchandise repair quality knowledge.
* Proficient in Microsoft office. (Specifically excel, word and access).
* Communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in internal auditing procedures.
* Ability to analyze quality control data and interpret trends.
