Overview:

Coilplus North Carolina, located at 426 S. Chimney Rock Road Greensboro, NC 27409 is in search of an Operations Manager. We are willing to provide relocation for the right candidate with steel experience.

Shift:M-F 7am-4pm

Responsibilities include:

- 30 Production Employees

- 2 Supervisors

- 2 Maintenance

- 1 Traffic Coordinator

- 1 Safety Coordinator

Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and execute all plant operations to achieve safety, quality, schedule, and cost objectives.

Responsible for the planning, organization, control, and direction of all operations. Reports to Division President or General Manager. Plans, organizes and directs day-to-day production operations. Develops and manages operations budgets; Wages, MRO, fixed & variable costs (packaging, maintenance, tools, supplies, etc.) Ensures production capabilities meet or exceed Coilplus standards and customer requirements. Responsible for production output; collaborates with other department managers/heads for product quality and on-time delivery. Assists in developing short and long-term strategies to reduce cost and improve supply chain. Participates in and provide support for strategic projects. Develops systems and processes that track and optimize safety, quality, and productivity. Sets standards for performance targets to ensure an effective return on assets. Maintain a clean work environment.

Qualifications:

Qualifications:

• 10+ years in manufacturing environment, steel/metal experience is preferred but not mandatory
• 7+ years of previous operations/plant management experience
• Previous leadership of maintenance department
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint
• Ability to lead employees to one single task ship steel in a safe and timely manner
• Coach/Teach Supervisors to enhance their abilities
• Experience in 5S is a plus
• Effective written and verbal communicator
• Knowledge of distribution, warehousing, or logistics systems.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize.
• Experience with MS Office Suite.
• Proven analytical skills.
• Lean/6-Sigma training.
• Work authorization: United States (Required)

Experience & Education:

• Bachelors degree, preferably in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain.
• 5+ years of ever-increasing responsibilities in operations management is needed.
