Job Description:
HiFyve is hiring an Operations Manager in the chemical manufacturing industry in Sunray, TX!Salary: $100K- $125K AnnuallyShift: Day shiftLocation: Sunray, TX (Relocation Assistance Available)Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and management to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations.
  • Oversee commissioning and startup of cogeneration engine-generators, heat recovery boilers, and control systems.
  • Ensure all components are identified, tested, and commissioned in a safe and timely manner.
  • Serve as a technical expert during project development, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure facility operations comply with all safety regulations, permits, and company policies.
  • Oversee environmental reporting, testing, and compliance with all NERC and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop plant staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Prepare and manage the facility's annual budget, cost control, and inventory management.
  • Optimize plant performance through effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and external support.
  • Communicate regularly with management, vendors, and agencies, providing updates on plant operations.
  • Oversee maintenance, outage planning, and reporting of significant events and improvements.
  • Provide recommendations for plant upgrades and enhancements to improve efficiency, safety, and reliability.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in power generation or a related field.
  • Experience in Operations & Maintenance of a Combined Cycle or Cogeneration Power Plant.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading teams and achieving goals.
  • In-depth understanding of power plant operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of chemistry related to plant operations, environmental regulations, and water treatment.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, bid proposals, contract evaluations, and power plant economics.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data, schematics, and operational reports.
  • Skilled in problem-solving, emergency decision-making, and team training.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as walking, reaching, climbing, stooping, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Experience with large frame gas turbines is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel 25% - 50% domestically.
