Job Type Full-time Description ABOUT THE POSITION: Urban Dove Team Charter School is seeking an adept Operations Manager to collaborate closely with the Director of Operations. This role involves fostering a welcoming environment, supervising key operational staff, managing student and personnel data, overseeing daily school procedures from meals to dismissal, and coordinating school events and communications. The Operations Manager will also handle administrative responsibilities, maintain inventory and facility requests, manage student records, and ensure compliance with various school programs and standards. ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: Urban Dove Team Charter School (UD Team) is a distinctive network of sports-based high schools catering to over-aged, under-credited youth. We fuse a robust academic curriculum with sports-based youth development, ensuring our graduates receive a diploma, a stepping stone for higher education, and essential job skills. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Cultivate a welcoming atmosphere for students, families, staff, and guests.
  • Assist the Director of Operations with administrative tasks.
  • Handle admin duties such as filing, data entry, and managing student records.
  • Protect student and employee confidentiality.
  • Oversee the Federal Lunch Program applications with the kitchen coordinator.
  • Supervise students during meals, dismissal, and meetings.
  • Develop systems to aid teachers and admin staff.
  • Draft school communications.
  • Organize special events.
  • Maintain up-to-date student and personnel data.
  • Monitor maintenance requests and liaise with janitorial services.
  • Manage school meals and transportation.
  • Process field trip requests.
  • Track and manage school supplies inventory.
  • Coordinate attendance record-keeping with Office Coordinator.
  • Communicate with families and schedule appointments.
  • Assist with compliance deadlines.
  • Supervise Ops Assistant staff, Cafeteria Coordinator, and Office Coordinator.
  • Handle school mailings and large print jobs.
  • Liaise between Operations and Student Support Services; coordinate community projects, and manage referrals.
Requirements QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associate's or business/secretarial training acceptable.
  • 3-5 years educational experience preferred.
  • Proficient with office equipment and Microsoft Suite; familiarity with ATS beneficial.
  • Aptitude for learning new tech systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; Spanish proficiency advantageous.
  • Ability to multitask and ensure quality.
  • Dedicated to UD Team mission, values, and serving at-risk youth.
  • Works effectively independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, creative problem-solver focused on continuous improvement.
  • Skilled in event and inventory management.
  • Adaptable communicator; proficient in negotiating with various stakeholders.
  • Experience with online databases is beneficial.
  • Takes initiative, ready to address the school's evolving needs.
