Job Description:
Join a team of professionals where you will be responsible for leading the operations team, directing all requirements needed to fulfill customer demand including order entry, material purchasing, raw material inventory, manufacturing, and planning. Overall responsibilities for the operations team include planning for two-part families, impellers and nozzle rings, in both New Hampshire and South Carolina.Supervisor Specific Responsibilities* Consciously create and maintain a workplace culture that is consistent with our Mission and values.* Delegate responsibility while providing clear expectations, consistent accountability and regular feedback.* Lead, mentor and develop employees to consistently meet expectations by growing in character and competence.* Utilize available resources to enable employees to plan and achieve their developmental goals while contributing to the ongoing success of TURBOCAM.* Manage people, resources and assigned budget (if applicable) to achieve objectives.* Understand, comply with, promote, and implement all established and proposed program initiatives including but not limited to: Safety, Quality and Performance Management.Come Build with Us by:* Leading day to day activity of operations team including purchasing, manufacturing, and planning through the ERP system in designated US facilities.* Understanding and prioritizing customer demand schedules with production facilities and work to resolve any conflicts.* Ordering required material for planned production activities.* Maintaining raw material inventory to support manufacturing operations.* Partnering with engineering to understand capacity, communicate any constraints to management while understanding lead time of labor and equipment* Negotiating with suppliers and customers where needed on price and delivery.* Collaborating with engineering Project Management on pre-production work when use of production resources is required.* Striving to meet or exceed delivery metrics* Must excel interacting with international suppliers and customers.* Overseeing inventory counts and corrections, and submit inventory valuation to financedepartment.* Understanding and communicating cost structure of material and manufacturing process as needed.* Driving continual improvement initiatives and documentation of processes and standard methods.* Executing on identified cost reduction opportunities with stakeholders.* Collaborating with TAPS and corporate ERP resources to ensure consistent and efficient use of ERP system.* Performing other duties as necessary.Bring Your Expertise:* Bachelor's degree in business or related field required.* 5+ years' experience in manufacturing and production, with at least 3 years having been in direct operations management or in an operations support role.* Ability to lead others; 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role preferred.* Previous experience using ERP systems preferred or demonstrated ability to learn and execute using ERP systems.
