Apollo is looking for a motivated and forward-thinking individual to join the Operations team. This team collaborates with many different teams firmwide including senior leadership, Investment teams, Technology, Finance, and Compliance. As well as various external parties including Funds, Separately Management Accounts and Portfolio Companies managed by Apollo. Functional responsibilities include understanding, optimizing and controlling our end to end support for the firm. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, risk management, commercial and interpersonal skills with the ability to work efficiently as collaborators at all levels. Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete ownership and accountability of processes to support investment activities. This includes data maintenance and processing activity with complete adherence of controls.
  • An understanding on the synchronization and workflow of the different applications used within the operations groups
  • Partnering and collaborating with various internal teams and at all management levels to fully understand the complete investment lifecycle activities
  • Updating process documentation and ability to evidence controls and calculations.
  • Acting as a point person and subject matter expect by responding to queries and building relationships with external and internal parties
  • Continuously challenging and driving enhancements to improve end to end operational processes
  • Use data and risk metrics to drive analytical insights to strengthen scalability and control frameworks
  • Responsible for ad-hoc requests
Qualifications & Experience
  • Undergraduate degree with relevant work experience
  • Product knowledge and exposure to private and public assets
*Bank Debt and respective facility types; term loans, revolvers, delayed draws, etc. *Commercial Real Estate loans *Public Funds *Corporate Bonds *Derivatives (Interest Rate Swaps, Credit Default Swaps) *Corporate Actions- Mandatory and Voluntary *Foreign Exchange (FX) *Equity/Options (listed and otc) *Financing Instruments (REPOs, Bond Forward etc.)
  • Proven understanding of finance (P&L/NAV/etc.)
  • Strong Writing and Communication Skills
  • Strong work ethic showing self driven initiatives and desire to learn
  • Must be detail oriented, organized, and encourages continuous improvement in a collaborative environment
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, and Word) is required
  • Experience with VPM, Everest, Thinkfolio, S&P Markit (Clearpar, WSO) and IMActions is a plus

Pay Range The base salary range for this position is listed above. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on personal, team, and Firm performance. Compensation ranges are based on several factors including job function, level, and geographic location. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed here.
