The F-35 Lifecycle Product Support team is looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join the team as an Operations Program Manager (OPM) in a growing, state of the art factory. The Sustainment Center supports our customers with cutting edge, timely and cost effective support for the repair, retrofit, and upgrade of a variety of highly complex modules vital to mission success and safety of the warfighter Supporting the F-35 5th Gen fighter, this role will provide leadership and support to the F-35 Performance Based Logistics (PBL) program as the lead OPM on our largest sustainment contract.
In this role, the lead PBL OPM will be responsible for?coordinating all Operations activities on the program. This includes flowing program requirements down from the product line and program manager to all of the Operations functions, leading our supply and material strategies, driving execution of repairs in the factory, coordinating across multiple sites and functions, and establishing future continuous improvement strategies to support the growing F-35 fleet. As the F-35 fleet continues to grow this is an exciting time to get involved in the lifecycle product support environment as we blaze a trail for the future of product sustainment.
You will be working along other OPM's in a mentoring and leadership capacity as one of the senior OPMs on the team.
The OPM may also support other teams including F22, DEWS, EPAWSS, Firetip and B1B.
The Operations Program Manager is responsible for coordinating all Operations activities on a program. This includes flowing program requirements down from the product line and program manager to all of the Operations functions. The Ops functions primarily include Manufacturing, Technical Operations, and Supplier Partnerships. Supplier Partnerships consists of factory planning, program planning, procurement, and subcontract management. In addition to supporting program execution, OPM's are required to support non-recurring engineering program phases, including driving early involvement in development and transition to production programs of the various Ops functions. It will also include involvement in proposal activities for both material and Operations labor estimates.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Project management of continuous improvement program
* Manage a rotable pool of spares to support the F-35 fleet
* Cost Account Manager responsible for cost and schedule
* Ensure all returns meet contractual requirements.
* Ensure all MICAPS are delivered to the customer in the expected time.
* Promotes a strong sense of teamwork among personnel supporting various phases of the program efforts.
* Develop, Execute and Monitor plans that support the Business Operating Plan
* Ensure Manufacturing execution is aligned with Program and Customer demand / requirements
* Ensure material availability in support of repairs
* Work with production team on any capability transitions to Sustainment
* Work with Factory supports to resolve issues that require Program and/or Customer action
* Be the Operations Leader for Customer / Program requirements such as (Repair Turn Around Time and EW Availability)
* Support factory compliance requirements
* Support programs across several geographic locations with occasional travel to support programs.
* Needs to identify and mitigate technical and schedule risks to program execution
* Must have a current/active Secret Clearance or ability to attain one
* Works toward long-range goals and objectives
AUTHORITY:
* Provide work direction for Operations personnel
* Cost Account Manager authority for Operations and for Program staff level.
* Signature authority for all Operations Plans (material, manufacturing, manpower, lean, capital, facilities).
* Signature authority for all Operations Program Task Descriptions (PTDs) flowed to Focus Factory management.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience. The candidate needs to have project management skills, manufacturing experience, supply chain experience as well as thorough knowledge of the Operations functions. In addition, proven skills in data analysis, leading small teams, effective communications, proposals. Previous Cost Account Management (CAM), Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and experience with AS9145/APQP. Experience managing a Master Demand Schedule (MDS).Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Prior experience in a field return/sustainment environment is highly desired. PMP certification, Green Belt certification, Experience in management, supply chain management, and/or factory management is a plus. Analytical skills and the ability to work independently to develop Leadership presentations for the Operations and Program function.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $126610 - $215270

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
