  • Coordinate in conjunction with the Operations and Breeding teams the sowing program to be established at the R&D Station.
  • Work together with the operations team so that the molecular markers are taken in the programmed time, as well as the shipments of seeds product of the blocks of crosses and / or field selections of the different programs established in the Station.
  • Provide information to the breeder on the development of crops, variations in development and impact on the results according to the information provided.
  • Provide follow-up and feedback to the Operations team about the cultural management of the crop (Irrigation, Fertilization, yarns, staking, harvests, evaluations, etc.).
  • Generate and share crop development reports to the local and external breeding team, mentioning progress and improvement points in the different crops.
  • Carry out Crop agreement and Crop review of each of the established programs, in conjunction with the R&D Site manager and the program breeder.
Planning and Strategy
  • Schedule biweekly meetings with the R&D Site manager and Generate reports to review progress and points for improvement
  • Participate in trainings as needed and provided that will help develop an optimal strategy for crop evaluation, growth, and selection that meets the expectations of the breeding teams.
  • Participate in periodic crop walks with the Station Manager and/or other Operations Managers to review crop progress and develop plans to address any variances or opportunities.
Station and Organizational Development and Improvement
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and growth for the company.
  • Participate in safety meetings provided by the HR and Operations team.
  • Participate in weekly staff meetings to share progress and discuss opportunities for improvement.
  • Work with others to provide training and development opportunities for all staff members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the R&D Site Manager.
To be considered, you will need: - BS degree in Agriculture or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.- 2+ years working in an R&D environment. - 2+ years Experience with regional vegetable crop production and cropping methods- Previous experience with trialing and plant breeding is desirable - Valid Driver's License required.- Bilingual in English/Spanish desired.The rewards of working here: You join an expert team of innovators and creators that collaborate with farmers around the world to sustainably enhance the taste and quality of healthy food.
