Our client seeks a highly experienced and dynamic Operations Research/ Systems Analysis (ORSA) to join our team.
Requirements:
- Extensive OSD; Joint Staff, Service HQ, or NGB action officer experience participating in the analysis, coordination, planning, writing, and presenting at the executive level in a senior-level organization; retired field grade officer preferred
- Ten (10) plus years of wargaming experience as performed by the Army, Air Force, Joint Staff, NGB-JS, and OSD
- Familiarity with the NG, NGB, and processes
- MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.)
- ETMS2 proficiency
- Experience with training the military to support civilian authorities at the national, regional, state, and local levels
- Must have an effective team builder with strong planning and organizational skills. Excellent communication skills: provided formal presentations, wrote information papers, and conducted briefings for senior leaders up to the four-star general level
- Extensive experience as a public speaker at conferences with DoD and USG interagency audiences
- JTSL-GO Experience is preferred (
- Secret Clearance (Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Provides expert support to the management, execution, and continuous improvement of the NGB Wargame Program
- Supports design, development, planning, execution, and reporting on NGB Wargames
- Supports participation in Defense Wargaming Alignment Group meetings
- Archives AARs; submits approved inputs to the Joint Lessons Learned Information System and OSD(CAPE) Wargaming Repository
- Wargame developer for the National Guard Bureau (NGB)
- Drafted a four-star, Chief of the National Guard Bureau (CNGB) policy instruction to establish a Wargame and Discussion Exercise (DBE) program for the NGB
- Supported the development of an Alaska National Guard Wargame focused on disaster response and homeland defense plans.
- Assisted in the development of a seminar and Wargame focused on U.S. domestic cyber defense policy
- Assist National Guardsmen with accessing DoD innovation resources and capabilities; assist states in creating their innovation programs, synchronizing innovation efforts across the staff, sharing innovation lessons learned across the National Guard, and facilitating collaboration on innovation projects from multiple elements including National Guard elements.
Education/Certifications (Required):
- MA/MS Degree; Intermediate Level PME Graduate (Senior Service College preferred)
- Wargaming Certifications (e.g. Naval War College, Military Operations Research Society)
