Timber Coulee Ag Inc. is now hiring an Operations Service Technician. Position OverviewThe Operations Service Technician receives and fulfills orders, treats seed to customer specification, completes plot and field projects, delivers product, maintains inventory control, supports farming operations and completes secondary accountabilities as required. Primary AccountabilitiesThe Operations Service Technician will consistently perform the following accountability Assignments:Receive and Store Products Receive incoming product, verify receiving paperwork and process documents according to office administrator instruction. Organize incoming products and store products to optimize warehouse utilization and efficiency. Collaborate with the office administrator to ensure received product aligns with OEP records. Maintain the warehouse so it remains clean and orderly throughout the year. Treat and Package Seed Treat seed according to customer order specifications.Verify the accuracy and quality of the seed treated to ensure the order satisfies quality standards and customer requirements. Package product to customer specifications.Monitor and report treating supplies and materials on a routine basis.Package plot seed according to plans provided by sales. Pick and Deliver Products Receive customer pick tickets, verify product availability and report product shortages immediately. Pick, prepare and stage bulk and packaged orders for pickup and/or delivery. Load and secure products for safe and efficient delivery.Deliver products and verify product type and quantities with customers prior to departure. Ensure pick ticket and delivery paperwork are completed on a daily basis according to office administrator instructions.Assist the office administrator in reconciling customer deliveries and returns on a routine basis.Maintain Accurate Inventory RecordsRoutinely monitor warehouse inventory to maintain accurate records.Collaborate with the office administrator to identify and promptly resolve inventory discrepancies.Routinely count and report inventory levels at a specified day and time each week. Receive and Ship Customer Product ReturnsEnsure that product returns are received within acceptable timelines and according to acceptable quality specifications.Assist the office administrator in shipping unacceptable product returns back to customers. Assist the office administrator in reconciling customer returns on a routine basis. Organize, package and load products to be returned onto semi trailers.Verify shipping paperwork accuracy.Support Farming OperationsPrepare ground for planting.Plant fields and spray as required.Haul grain for storage or to market. Secondary Position AssignmentAssist in Receipt and Processing of Customer AccountsAssist the office administrator to receive, review, and enter customer orders/return orders while verifying payment terms. Assist the office administrator to receive and verify how customer funds are to be applied.Assist the office administrator in maintaining updated customer RUP/Tech Number records throughout the year.Assist the office administrator in tracking and reconciling customer accounts.Complete Vehicle Preventative Maintenance and Minor RepairsCarry out necessary preventative maintenance on vehicles, including fluid changes, lubrications, safety inspections, and brake repairs to maintain smooth operational workflow.Conduct final tests to ensure positive maintenance and repair outcomes.Maintain clean, well-organized and well-stocked maintenance work areas to facilitate efficient operations. Complete Plot and Signage ProjectsReview plot and advertising plans and verify understanding of layout, timing and placement instructions.Assist with plot maintenance to ensure seed is planted, chemical and fertilizer are applied and signage is placed according to plans. Manage the overall layout and appearance of the test plot throughout the season (Ex. Mow, Trim, and Signage)Other Duties - Complete assigned projects, engage in professional development opportunities, and complete other duties as assigned. Essential RequirementsEducation and Work Experience Typically has a high school education and has 3-5 years of experience working in a warehouse or similar environment. Ability to obtain a Pesticide Applicators License, with Category 4 Endorsement, is required. Ability to obtain a CDL and appropriate endorsements is preferred. Ability to operate farm and business operations equipment safely. Consistently arrive to work on time and remain focused on tasks throughout the day. This position will be subject to travel and/or drive when required, standing and moving for long periods of time in a variety of settings, working outside normal business hours including working on weekends and/or receiving calls at home to support business/farming operations.
