Operations Specialist
A Day in the Life:
As an Operations Specialist you will assist with the day-to-day operations of your facility. You will help with the loading/unloading of grain and agronomy products on trucks and trains, as well as some feed and energy products. Your primary responsibilities in this position will include but are not limited to; grain handling and quality maintenance, mixing and loading liquid/dry fertilizer and chemical products, filling anhydrous ammonia tanks, sweeping out grain bins, helping manage inventory, assisting with the operation of the scale to weigh products, and performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and vehicles. Your day-to-day tasks will include housekeeping and maintenance duties to keep the facilities and equipment up and running. You will operate company vehicles, forklifts, augers, front-end loaders, and various other types of equipment.
Whats Expected:
You will be expected to help where needed, including additional locations and departments as necessary. This is a hands-on position where you will be working outside in all kinds of weather. You will be exposed to grain dust, lubricants, chemicals, and fertilizers. Physically, you will stand, stoop, bend, kneel, and crawl on a regular basis. You will be asked to climb ladders, enter confined spaces, and work at heights up to 200ft. Regularly lifting 50 pounds and occasionally 100 pounds will be expected. You will be expected to think clearly, problem solve, work hard, and work more hours during busy seasons.
